I really love music. Making music is an entirely different experience from listening to it, and once you've made it, you never hear it the same way. Music and I have a complex, rewarding relationship. I sometimes wish people were more like music in that respect.

I'm still in the process of writing the song I mentioned in my last post. The lyrics are now:

Sunbeams are falling across my drowsy face
I'd have to say I love the way the sun looks through my eyelids
Lazy Sunday, lazy Sunday morn
The ticking minutes slip away to wait outside my door

I'm rather pleased with the way it's turning out. Well, it's turning out to be cute and gentle, like the other songs I've written. Perhaps I should branch out sometime. Not right now, though. This one is so sweet. Also, it's an exercise in writing a song about myself, rather than about someone else and/or my relationship with them. I would like this one to capture a moment of self-experience. What better moment of self-experience is there than lying in bed on a lazy morning and smiling at the day to come?

Perhaps I'll figure out some neat way to record my songs and get them hosted online so I can link to them. I'll work on that later. Maybe.
