I love people. The man at the garden (I need to remember his name) was wearing dress pants again, but he had a shirt on today. The day was very hot, and at one point he lifted the shirt to above his gut and fanned his stomach. It took a lot of energy to not laugh.

My body feels like it's been here forever. The heat really doesn't bother me any more. I realize that it is hot outside, but I feel surprisingly comfortable. I don't mean to imply that I look like any less of a pasty, sweaty mess, but I feel a lot better. I take cold showers now not to cool down, but simply to get the sweat off of me.

This morning was spent finishing up Rant by Chuck P. and then heading to the women's garden for Session 2 of Joanna Learns about the Garden. The end of Rant was fun to wrap my brain around. The garden didn't have any surprises today. I jotted down more information about the logistics of the garden, then took a brief tour of one section. I was hoping to actually work today, but it's Friday. In a predominantly Muslim country, Friday is a big deal. Almost everyone stops working around noon, and lots of folks don't work at all. So no gardening for me. Hopefully, I'll hit the ground running on Monday.

Fun fact: We get money for food. I try to spend as little on food as possible. Can you say "Joanna gets to buy lots of fabric and things?"
