We've settled pretty well into our house; our things have mingled enough that I can already tell it'll be difficult to sort out which things are whose at the end of the year. I am extremely excited about rooming with Elizabeth. We finally figured out how to get our beds to be the same height (or close to it) and are now realizing the dream of having one giant bed for the two of us. We have grand dreams of cuddle puddles when it's wintry and cold. I think these dreams are realistic, though perhaps not on a nightly basis. We also have grand plans of communal food, and these are working out beautifully so far.

I decided to drop Sociology of Community. I never wanted to actually take it; I just wanted to audit it. There were enough people who wanted to add the course that I couldn't have audited, and it looked like enrolling in it would've been more work than it was worth. And thus, I have no class on Thursdays and only a 50-minute voice class on Tuesdays. I am trying to train myself to look at these tantalizing blocks of unscheduled time as SMP-related. We shall see how successful this training will be.

Speaking of my SMP, I had a meeting with my adviser on Tuesday. She thinks I'm wonderful and ahead of the ball, which I am. She's also very pregnant and will be on maternity leave in the spring. She's keeping her advisees, but she won't be on campus much. This could be inconvenient, or it could provide me with a degree of freedom that will aid me in my quest for SMP-related excellence.

Flynn's friend Tina visited on Wednesday/Thursday. She's pretty rad. She's also a tattoo artist. I invited her to come to Acorn with me over our break in the fall. She's into farming and community, so I figured she would be pleased as punch. She was. I have just now sent her a Facebook message with the dates, so hopefully everything will line up beautifully.

And then Flynn's/my friend Trey visited on Friday/Saturday. I enjoyed Trey thoroughly. He left an awesome note by my computer when he left. Hurricane/tropical storm Hannah blew through while he was here, and it was sadly unimpressive. We got a lot of rain, but those "gale-force" winds never quite got up to my expectations.

Speaking of Flynn, he said that his blog (which can be found here) got several visitors directed to it from my blog. I linked to him a while ago, in case you missed it. He told me about Google Analytics and got me interested enough to sign up. I've only had it on here a couple days, so it's not terrifically interesting yet, but it's still fun to poke around with. I have readers from Virginia, Maryland, Missouri, and Oregon. Surprise! I never would have guessed.
