I registered for classes today. Whoa Nelly. This feels so official. I even went to the campus bookstore and bought myself a personal planner. It doesn't get much more official than a personal planner, now does it?

It looks like I'll be able to graduate next fall as planned, though I hadn't realized that this would require my taking courses during the summer. Whatever. I think the summer classes are only five weeks long, so I should still have a good chunk of un-studious summer to myself.

Matt leaves tomorrow, and I've spent most of my day hanging out with him. It's been bittersweet. I cry intermittently, though only when we're alone. I'll miss that kid. We went to the post office, a West African restaurant, and the Takoma Park Co-op, where I picked up bulk bags of nutritional yeast and falafel mix. Yum! Not to mention some vegan fig bars, which I've been lusting after for weeks. Why aren't Fig Newtons vegan, anyway? Thanks for hooking me up with figgy goodness, Barbara's Bakery.

In other news, my garden is doing wonderfully. The tomatoes, in general, are a bit cracked due to my undependable watering, but they're still tasty. And look! my jalapenos are finally turning red!
