I returned from Boston, got dressed, and went upstairs for a party. It took its time getting started, but it had a lot of life once it established itself. That's as it should be. I didn't quite feel up to dancing the night away, seeing as I'd had a fever the day before, but I danced to my favorite songs and drank a lot of water during my non-favorites. Andy was loving life, dancing like a maniac and DJing and wearing a silly robe.

On Sunday, I introduced Keegan to the farmer's market and to Big Bear Cafe, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed and vowed to patronize in the future. Among other things, we got a pint of okra (Keegan: "What's okra?") and a half gallon of apple cider. Yummy.

And then I hopped on the metro to get myself to Takoma Park, where I hung out with Heather and made hoops. One for me, one for Meg for her birthday. It was a joint gift from me and Ms. Muz, of course. Folks came over and we played Settlers, pausing only to refuel ourselves with falafel. I felt pretty awesome walking home from the metro with two hoops in hand.

And then I hooped for three hours yesterday, plus a little bit with Meg later. I discovered that I like hand hooping. Of course, my arms are sore today, and my hands are swollen. I'm waiting for the bruising to show up. I'm hoping for purple.

And today? Today, I cleaned my room! Yes, folks, that's right. I cleaned my room. I vacuumed and everything. Shocking.
