Hey, did you hear about the record snowfall that hit DC? I did. It was crazy.

We haven't gotten our mail delivered since Friday the 5th, and I'm going into penpal withdrawal.

Being snowed in gave me lots of time to watch movies, read books, and pet cats:

Tupelo is actually the chillest cat you'll ever meet.

Also, being inside a lot gave me time to think about the space I live in. Keegan and I painted two days ago, because it needed it. And what color did we paint? Why, Pumpkin Patch, of course. (Paint color names are a riot.) This is the first time I've lived in a space I can paint. I talked to the landlord about it, and he's fine with us painting the walls whatever color we like as long as we paint them back when we leave.

It looks even better with all the furniture back where it belongs.

I ordered prints of a bunch of pictures the other day, because I realized that I never look at my pictures because they're digital and I have to hunt through a ton of files for the good ones. So I hunted through my files and found about 50 that I wanted prints of. I plan to buy one of those photo album things soonish, and then I can be a suburban mom and urge people to look through my pictures.

In other news, I've started walking Andydog twice a day. This means I will be waking up at 7:45 every morning for the foreseeable future. A regular schedule! Imagine that. It also means that I will have an income, which will be a nice change. And I'll be biking for about an hour total every day to get there and back, so I'll be in shape.

My personal/romantic life is in flux. I alternate between being blissfully happy and sort of quietly sad. I had a strange Valentine's Day.

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I didn't get to St Mary's to watch their performance of The Vagina Monologues. I am a little bummed about it. I was in it all three years, and I at least wanted to watch this year. Silly snow. I am going to SMCM on Friday, though, so at least I'll get to see folks. It's been so long since I've been back to campus!

In approximately 2.8 weeks, I will be on my way to Mt Tremper, NY again. Hopefully my bus won't hit anything or get lost in New Jersey this time. Cross your fingers. I will be dragging along a family-sized rainbow hammock to give/lend to someone at ZMM who will actually use it, as opposed to letting it hang out in their parents' basement for two years.

Life is pretty good. I'm getting busy. More importantly, I'm getting very impatient for spring.
