Yesterday:
-Knife skills class at Sur la Table. I didn't get sick this time around! Hooray! I learned to cut lots of veggies, how to approach using a knife generally, and how to take care of knives decently. I feel like I learned a bit of magic.
-The Real Thing, by Tom Stoppard, at Studio Theatre in DC. Solid production. They chose to do it in the round, which is challenging, but they totally made it work; I think the fact that the theatre is so small helped. The script still has me thinking. I loved parts of it. I strongly disagreed with other parts but still loved them. I am grappling with what Stoppard had to say about love and commitment, and whether I agree with him. Good stuff.

Today:
-Packing! I packed my camping stuff for my backpacking adventure with Elizabeth. That's my checked bag. I packed all of my clothes for five weeks (including shoes!) into a carry-on. I feel like a rock star.

I'm leaving in two days! I'll be on a plane in 48 hours! This is exciting. More than exciting. I love my life.
