Thursday night, we watched the VP debate and I cut out a stencil for making Power Vote T-shirts. I love stencils. You only have to work hard once, and then you can put your fantastic image wherever you want to. Well, within reason. The debate itself was frustrating. I don't particularly want to talk about politics, especially not in the same paragraph as Power Vote. 501c3 and all that jazz.
It turns out that Steny didn't come down Saturday after all, what with things to do in DC. Something about the economy collapsing, I hear.
That was kind of a downer, but we rocked community market anyway. We got another 50 pledge cards. I bartered massages for pledges. ("Pleasure for pledges" was our tagline. Scandalous, I know.) There was good food and good people. I bought some ridiculous pink heels for $5.
Saturday evening, Elizabeth, Sarah, and I headed to Silver Spring for a slumber party. I saw a whole bunch of people I haven't seen in forever. Interacting with Heather was not nearly as awkward as I was afraid it might be in light of recent events. In fact, I didn't notice any awkwardness at all. How lovely. We stayed up late playing games and dancing, and then I stayed up even later cuddling Elizabeth and talking. Elizabeth is an amazing person, in case anyone was wondering, and I am very glad to have her in my life.
We had WAFFLES for brunch in the morning! Yes, in caps and bold. Waffles are so fun! Anyway. So we ate waffles. And then we had a fantastic photo shoot. Think glamor photos in graffiti-ed DC and... you've got it. In fact, that's exactly what it was. Here, look at pictures of me.
Sunday night was yet another decadent meal, payed for by the Environmental Studies department. That's right, it was vegan pizza night at the EcoHouse. We went all out. It was amazing. I went to bed early and slept for about 10 hours. I guess I needed it.
That brings us to today. I slept in a bit (obviously) so I didn't go running. I learned about plants a lot. I went on a fieldtrip to a cyprus swamp. I got an awesome grade on my math exam. I called about 30 people who checked the "volunteer" box on their PV cards and I asked them to turn out to the SEAC meeting to do some grassroots outreach. I got photos off my camera. I should go to bed now.
