Also nice to wake up to: having soymilk for my cereal in the morning! Hooray! Dry Kashi GoLean Crunch is quite crunchy indeed, and we haven't had soymilk for the past few days.
Voice class was fine. The course is goofy and the professor has slightly offensive opinions, but it's fun to sing with other people. I was chosen as a model of good pitch today, which was flattering.
SMP meeting at 2:30. My SMP adviser still thinks I'm wonderful. I mean, I kind of am. I'm chugging away on transcripts, I'm taking care of my own IRB/survey process bothers, and I'm kind of excited about researching the literature. So basically, I rock.
Today was also the first day of the annual library book sale. I love the book sale! So many books for so little money! I think they clear out the racks by subject. Last year, I remember there being a lot of books on feminism and radical lifestyles. Today, there were lots and lots of books on Africa. Despite my study abroad tour in The Gambia, I was not tempted by a single outdated text on Africa. There were several other gems available for purchase, and I scooped up a few of them. I paid $5 for 10 or so books.
Directly after the book sale, Elizabeth, Sarah, and I went out to the treehouse for a ridiculous photo shoot. It was silly and fun and I'm so glad we did it. Details availble upon request.
I chatted with Rachel in the co-op for almost an hour instead of working the Womyn's Center. I haven't talked to her much this semester. I had forgotten how excellent she is.
Elizabeth, Sarah, B, and I watched Paprika at 8:00. It was part of the international film festival dealio going on. The audience voted to watch it subbed rather than dubbed, for which I was grateful. The movie itself was... strange. It certainly elicited a response, which I suppose is good, but... I don't know. It was strange.
The walk back was cold, so we cuddled on our futon and looked over the photos from the afternoon. I suppose it's time to start wearing winter clothes. And shoes. Cold toes are no fun.
