I keep a blog to help me remember what I do and to let me sit back and think about things for a second. But when I'm busiest and have the most to remember/sit back and think about, I have the least time to write. How counterproductive.

I don't even know where to start to catch you up, dear reader. I think I'll just write about now instead.

I cut my hair a couple weeks ago. I did it myself! It looks fairly good, I think. I still haven't gotten around to looking at the back of it, so that part's a mystery. People tell me it looks good. Today, I cut Flynn and Bethany's hair. Well, really, I trimmed Flynn's so he wouldn't have a mullet, and Bethany chopped her own hair off a couple days ago and just needed someone to tidy it a bit. One of these days, I'll be really good at cutting hair. Until then, I'll keep giving people decent trims.

I spent some time in the plants lab yesterday mounting the last of my pressed specimens. I was getting worried about having enough plants pressed and mounted. We need 15. They need to be in either flower or fruit. I hadn't counted how many I have and fruiting/flowering time is pretty much over. Nervous, I went through my folder and found that, to my surprise, I have over twenty pressed and mounted plants. Accidental overachiever.

There is some drama going on in the co-op, with hints from Public Safety and Res Life that the administration is miffed and might temporarily shut the place down. This is bothersome and regrettable, but I feel removed from the situation enough to not feel terribly impacted by it. I mean, they've been throwing alcohol-related parties in a public space with a bunch of underage people. Of course the administration was going to get pissed. Basically, I'm glad to be a part of the informal co-op based out of our house. Much less fuss. Much less drama from both inside and out.

My SMP has suddenly become much more work. Rather, I was coasting along this semester on the work I'd done during the summer, and my adviser reminded me that I was going to have a ton of work next semester if I didn't get more done during this one. Bummer. So I finished up with interview transcripts (with a grand total of 23700+ words) and put together a coding scheme for them. I entered all the survey data this afternoon. I'll be playing with the statistics from the surveys soon. Perhaps tomorrow.

Ummm... classes are fine. Social life is going very well. SEAC is winding down. I'm enjoying life. We haven't turned on the heat in our house yet, and it's been getting down to 20 at night. We have tons of blankets on our bed and have been using THE POWER OF THE SUN to heat our house during the day. And we cook. That puts out heat, too. We're planning to put up some makeshift insulation on the windows; we just have to get around to making it. That's the hang-up with makeshift things, you know.

In other news, Hallowgreens (the Halloween celebration that happens on the Townhouse Greens) happened between this and the last real post, and I like these pictures.
