I'm leaving for Boston tomorrow! How exciting. I stopped by Matt's Mom's place in DC to pick up a couple things he left behind, and it was so weird to be there. No cats, no Matt. I almost got teary when I was going up the steps. Almost.

I've cooked a real dinner for myself for the past two nights, which is kind of a big deal. My dinners lately have been PBJs for the most part. I'm still getting used to feeding myself. But hey, I made rice and beans two nights ago and a tasty tomato sauce for my pasta last night. And I used stuff from my garden both nights! How cool is that?

Speaking of my garden, my kale is coming up! I haven't taken any pictures yet because they still look very unimpressive, but... yeah. Neato. I'm going to have kale this winter.

Last night, I presented my first teacher-y project ever. I made a learning center (read: self-guided activity in a folder) about odd and even numbers. I didn't have a folder, so I made one out of a Whole Foods bag. I feel like such a hippie. Anyway. It's a very cute center, and I have worksheets and everything. It's designed for first/second graders. I even illustrated it!
