Post 202! Just think, folks, in twenty posts, I'll be at 222. That's a neat number.

I went to HHF. It was fun. I actually didn't end up going to any workshops/presentations because I couldn't resist being a salesperson at the SESE booth. Do you need help making a decision between soft- and hard-neck garlic? Well, clearly, I'm your moderately-informed gal! I did skip away to hear Devon Sproule perform. Can you say, "Joanna has a huge crush on Devon and dreams of the day when she'll have an excuse to make Devon fall madly in love with her"? Because I sure can. Hoo boy. She's just so cute. I really hope she doesn't Google herself and find this creepy post. That would totally kill my chances.

As HHF was winding down, John, Julia, Paul, Brendan C, and I piled into the car to get ourselves (and a roof bag full of ball pit balls) to the Pink Boa's Last Hurrah. It was epic. Good dancing. Lots of shouting along to our favorite dance hits. Attractive people in crazy outfits. Fire poi. Hooping. Lube wrestling. Everything I could want in a party, and more! I went to sleep around 4:00, and I worried about my voice. You see, it was starting to be a bit raspy. My peers comforted me, saying it would be better in the morning.

Oh, no. I knew better. Usually, I'll wake up the next day without a voice. Losing it that night was a horrible sign. And here we are, mid-Wednesday, and my voice still sounds like a strangled frog. Whatever. It just means I can't sing along with anything. Or hum. Or be taken seriously.

I hung out for much of Sunday helping Heather to paint the common room. Their lease ended yesterday (hence the Last Hurrah), and the funky colors they'd put on the walls had to go. Bummertown. I was invited to a hoop-making party, which I'm excited about. I hope it actually happens. I got home and ordered some sock poi. Matt called me a nerd.

I slept a lot Sunday night. I went to class on Monday, and returned home to a lovely house dinner where I met... Keegan! My new basementmate! Everything went smoothly at the dinner, and Keegan moved in yesterday. We hung out. We talked about music a lot. I kept him up way too late. I mean, honestly, who wakes up at 6:00? That's just silly.

Speaking of music, I've been getting a lot of new stuff recently. Metric's new album, Fantasies, is totally reinforcing my already-strong love of them. Also, there's this artist called Marina & the Diamonds. She put out an initial EP, and I'm fascinated and want more. More! (Paul, you should not check out Marina & the Diamonds, because I plan to include her in your mix CD.)

I have some homework to do. (Am I procrastinating by updating my blog? Yes.) I need to clean my room. I have some dishes to do. Basically, I have some loose ends to tie up before I leave for Boston in two days!!! Whoa Nelly, I am so excited. Watch out, New England. Here I come.
