-I still have cats. They're great.

-I got a job! I'll be teaching storytelling/drama to kids after school twice a week. One group is in 3rd-6th grade, and the other is PreK-1st. This should be fun. The training/audition process was pretty intense, but it seems to me that they're just intent on having every kid in their program get the same curriculum. And it feels like a good curriculum, so that's fine by me. And they're going to pay me for going to the trainings, which is even better. I start on January 19th.

-I got a second job! Well, sort of. Meg currently walks dogs for a living. She's moving to New Orleans in mid-January, and she's passing off one of her favorite dogs to me. He lives close to us and is too old for long walks, so it should be a pretty easy thing. And it's good money. I start whenever she stops.

-I have gone from being unemployed to having two very part-time jobs that should cover my expenses quite nicely. Excellent.

-Matt's in town. I like him. I got him sick.

-I'm still sick. I was planning to go to the Lemuria show tonight, but it looks like I'll be home nursing a headache and watching Legend of the Seeker. My life is hard.

-Legend of the Seeker is a TV version of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. I read a few of them when I was in 8th grade or so, and I'm getting a huge kick out of watching them. It's so hokey!

-We are searching for a new housemate. I wrote up a lovely Craigslist posting, and we got a bunch of good responses, and now we're showing the house to people who we especially liked. Half of them haven't shown up when they said they would, which is sort of a nuisance. But hey, at least there are fewer people we have to consider when we're trying to decide who to live with. I mean, really, they didn't even call.

-Christmas happened. I was at my parents' house. We did the pajamas and presents thing. I got some good stuff. Notably, my mother took it upon herself to outfit me with teacher clothes. And the kittens' adoption fee was a present. That's kind of a big deal. The four of us (immediate family) went to see Young Frankenstein the Musical on Christmas night. It was about as silly as the movie, but longer and with songs. (And a different violin theme for some reason. Weird.) I dressed up all fancy-like and shaved my armpits, and now they feel naked.

-I have a totally killer headache. Bleh.
