I feel like documenting my life again.

Things I am currently doing with my life:
-I am working toward my Masters in Teaching (MAT) in elementary education. I am graduating this May. Thank God.
-I am living in a group house in DC with five other young persons. Their names are Adam, Leah, Tim, Jess, and Keegan.
-I am in an awesome relationship with Keegan.
-I often read books, pet cats, and have long chats with friends.

Things that I did recently:
-I taught third grade at a Catholic school for three or so months before deciding that I was miserable.
-I decided to do my student teaching in the classroom of a mentor teacher so that I could learn how not to be quite so miserable.
-I decided, through a series of discussions with the aforementioned Keegan, to get married to him.

My plans for the near-ish future:
-Student teaching until May.
-Graduate in May.
-Move all of my stuff into parents' basements.
-Hand my cats over to Leah and try not to cry too much about it.
-Complete a three week visitor period (May 27-June 16) at Twin Oaks, an intentional community in central Virginia, with the intention of applying for membership.
-Maybe spend July at Zen Mountain Monastery
-Move to Twin Oaks as soon as possible; hope for a short waiting list or none at all.
-Move most of my stuff out of parents' basements.
-Settle into life at Twin Oaks. Teach home schooled kids. Garden. Make tofu and hammocks.
-Be one of the stars of a wedding.

I am generally very happy with my life. At the moment I am a bit stressed out due to some interpersonal drama, but I'm confident that it will settle down shortly and I will return to my usual contentment. Yeah. Life is A-OK.

Also, we are at the beginning of a new year. I just looked back at my resolutions from last year, and they mostly didn't work out. Whatever. Resolutions for this year:

-Graduate
-Move to a commune
-Sit regularly
-Find a place for myself as an individual, a partner, and a teacher
-Continue to live, laugh, and love
