We move to Twin Oaks in two days. We found out our room assignments and everything, so we're all set to go. I'll be living in downstairs Oneida (surprise) and Keegan will be taking a room in Morningstar, at least until its rightful occupant returns from PAL. (Personal Affairs Leave, something like a sabbatical.) I originally thought that I would treat my room as a very transitional place, but I think I'll actually settle into it properly. I'll bide my time until a really awesome room opens up. Besides, if I don't really move into my room, I won't feel at home, and that's exactly what I don't want.
Keegan's mom will be driving us. We're planning to give her a tour and take advantage of her car to transport the contents of our storage unit. I think it'll be good for her to able to picture where we are.
Our lovely New Member Liaison (NML) turned in our labor sheets for us on Monday. Keegan requested that his schedule be left open. I arranged to work Unicorn School one morning and requested garden work for other mornings. I'm looking forward to wiggling into a comfy spot as far as my work schedule goes. For now, I guess I'll just take what I can get.
I worry that we're leaving loose ends here, or that we're going to forget something important and be stuck in Central VA with no way to fetch it, but I'm sure we'll be fine. Major life changes are a big deal.
