I'm still running. The program I'm following says that I'm supposed to run three time a week, and I certainly try to do that, but sometimes I'm sick, it's sleeting, or I had work spill over into my free time. Also, we had the holidays to deal with. It's taken me a little over a month to get through the first three weeks of the program. But hey, I'm still going! I'm one third of the way to the end of the program, after which I hope to just plain run.
I'm also still hooping. I have two or three hooping dates every week with my friend(s) and try to practice on my own whenever it's practical. Unfortunately, I don't have many indoor spaces to choose from. My room, obviously, is too small to swing a hoop around, and my SLG's living room is also on the small side. That leaves me with the big common spaces of the community, which are often signed out when I'd like to use them. How is a hooper supposed to get better with nowhere to practice, eh?
I'll be putting my new hooping skills to use at a rave this Saturday. A large group of Twin Oakers are heading up to Baltimore for an event. We're bringing futons, pillows, hoops, glowsticks, and some of the least likely rave-goers these DJs have ever seen. We're carpooling, of course, so there's no chance of stopping by to see family. (Sorry Mom.)
