I received my LED hoop in the mail today. Hooray! I'm so pumped for nightfall; LED hoops just aren't as cool when the sun is shining.

I went to a rave this weekend. It made me realize how happy I am to have Twin Oaks parties in my life. Twin Oaks parties are full of people I know and around whom I am comfortable. I can leave the party at any time. I can leave to take a break and then return if I want to. The parties happen in buildings with lots of rooms so there are opportunities for changing my experience of the party. I have easy access to bathrooms and water. The rave was full of people I didn't know. I couldn't leave. (Unless I wanted to be stranded in Baltimore!) I had to pay for water. The bathroom lines were long.

I would honestly say that the best parts of the rave were 1) prepping for it and 2) lazily waking up the next morning with a bunch of sleepy Twin Oakers. (We slept at the home of friends.) The rave itself? Eh. I think I'd rather stay home to party.
