Twenty-four hours from now, I will be inside a giant metal bird hurtling itself from DC to Seattle.

Words cannot express how excited I am.

I kept myself busy today with errands and chores, thank goodness, or else I would have been sitting in a corner, vibrating with anticipation. Yoga and grilled cheese this evening (those are happening separately), sleep filled with excited/anxious dreams tonight, last-minute packing* tomorrow morning, and then it's off to the airport. Did you catch that? Then it's off to the airport!

I'll try to keep updating while I'm gone. I should have lots to write about: Seattle, Olympia, backpacking, an adorable baby, Vancouver, a wedding, farming, and other adventures.

*Last-minute packing, by the way, means that I've already packed 95% of my things; there are a few odds and ends that I want to leave unpacked until the moment of departure.
