I have been exhausted all week. In part, I think it's the weather-- I must have allergies or something, because I've been stuffy and my throat has been itchy. My body is valiantly doing battle with pollen or dust or something, leaving me with less energy to live my life.

The other part of it is that life went from 4-4 to cut time. (Music reference because I'm a nerd. Translation: things sped up.)

Sunday: Lazing about, sore from Saturday's hike. Stayed up late video conferencing about whether to buy a house.

Monday: Ms. Lead stayed home sick, which always makes work feel crazy. Got home, ate dinner, tutored a neighborhood kid, rushed off to dance class, arrived late, danced, got home, showered, video conferenced some more. Decided to buy the house. (!!!!!)

Tuesday: What did I even do? I don't really remember. It's all a blur. We, the elementary team, had an epic meeting in the afternoon during which we figured out how to massively rearrange our schedule. Cleaned a whole bunch in the evening.

Wednesday: Work has just felt very busy lately. Hard to pin down exactly what I've been doing, but we have a high-energy group of students; corralling them and convincing them to get to work takes a lot of effort. Staff meeting after school during which we announced my pending departure. Potluck dinner with college friends in the evening, stayed out later than I should've.

Thursday: Elementary bonding day! We took all the elementary students to camp for the day. The camp itself was pretty "eh." I doubt we will be returning to that particular venue. The drive to and from the camp was long and full of squirmy, squirrely kids. I was on the one bus we chartered, which was a fancy tour bus that had a bathroom. And, of course, even though the kids on the bathroom-less school buses didn't seem to have any trouble, at least half of our kiddos decided at some point that they "needed" to use the restroom. I think they were just into the novelty. After all, what could be more exciting than peeing in a new place?

Tomorrow: First session of health class! Adorable hangout involving hot cider in the evening!

Looming ahead: My landlord will start showing my room/house in the beginning of October. So I've been spending evenings cleaning, identifying items to donate/discard/sell, and listing unwanted items on Craigslist.  If anyone is interested in a master bedroom in a mediocre townhouse in Annandale, just let me know. (Walking distance to library, bakery, post office, Mason District park, and my school!)

Whew. Here comes the weekend. Here comes October. Where did the time go?
