My God, typing up transcripts is one of the most tedious, time-consuming things I've ever done. I'm on page 12 (single-spaced!) and I'm not even done with the second interview. On the other hand, the interviews do occasionally provide me with gems like this:

Um, I feel like I am more isolated from the rest of the world on the commune, partially because I don’t receive a morning newspaper. Um, and I just don’t—I find life here so involving on a regular basis that I don’t read a lot of news. I’ve been getting better and reading some news, but very specific news about transhumanism.

In other news, the weekend was lovely. The potluck on Friday night exploded into a spontaneous dance party which then melted into a cuddle puddle. Yesterday felt incredibly long. Today was full of meetings. Tomorrow, at least three guests arrive at our lovely home.

I got three letters in the mail today, and I'm pumped about finding time to write back. I also got some exciting news about a friend moving to this coast, but that was over the phone. So many people in so many places!
